60 Years of Poutine

This year marks a very special and very Canadian anniversary—60 years of Poutine! The classic combo of fries, gravy, and cheese curds is said to have first been served up in Quebec back in 1964. Since then, not only has it spread across the country and the globe, but it has also been the topic of many heated discussions. From the best type of gravy (package or home-made) to the perfect variety of fries (shoe string or crinkle cut) and every topping imaginable, there is no shortage of takes and opinions on the dish!

Let’s not forget that for every take on the recipe, there is also a way of pronouncing poutine! Shout out to Zenga for this handy dandy guide on that with the clip above!
