Classic 90’s Pizza Hut Buffet Has Returned

Imagine stepping inside your local Pizza Hut in the ’90s, the familiar jingle of the doorbell ringing as you walk in, instantly taking you back to your childhood. The air is rich with the mouthwatering aroma of melted cheese and freshly baked crust mingling with the faint scent of marinara sauce. Brightly colored red and white checkered tablecloths dress each booth, and the walls are adorned with kitschy pizza-themed artwork and neon signs proclaiming the day’s special offers. They pour your water into a red plastic cup. The buffet is fresh and ready for you to dive into.

You’re greeted by the enthusiastic chatter of families and laughter of kids as they bustle around the buffet, their eyes wide with excitement as they survey the endless selection of pizza slices, breadsticks, and salad. The buffet bar glistens under the bright lights, a cornucopia of toppings ranging from classic pepperoni to innovative creations featuring barbecue chicken and pineapple. Each choice feels like an adventure, and you can practically taste the anticipation as you load your plate to the brim. The teenager working their first job at your local Hut is cranky as they refill the tin bins.

You spot a family celebrating a birthday at the corner table. The small arcade game stands nearby buzz with life; the sound of digital beeps and cheerful music calling your name while you munch on gooey, buttery breadsticks.

After filling up on pizza, there’s still room for dessert—the signature pan of ’90s pizookies, baked fresh and served warm with pizza sauce alongside.

Pizza Hut has quietly brought this back in select locations across the US and ONE Canadian spot (so far) in Toronto.

Let’s hope it makes it’s way back to the Prairies sometime soon.
