Why are we digging up the trailer for this 1995 satire comedy? Oh, no reason. Just seemed relevant.

If you don’t remember Canadian Bacon, it’s Michael Moore’s only non-documentary film and it’s about a US President being convinced that he’ll be better liked if he starts a cold war and national rivalry with the Canadians up north. They never did get over that whole White House fire situation, did they?

While I would hate the idea of a remake or a 30-year sequel (particularly with no John Candy), I do think we’re ripe for a new comedy in the same vein.
