Wow, Saskatchewan! Last night (December 11, 2025) the northern lights put on an absolute show across the province. From Regina and Saskatoon to Prince Albert and even as far south as Moose Jaw, vibrant pinks, greens, and purples danced across the sky thanks to a strong G3 geomagnetic storm.
The best views kicked off around 9 p.m. and peaked after midnight, with ribbons of colour so bright you could see them despite city lights. Photographers on the outskirts caught incredible shots—some said it was the strongest display in years.
If you missed it, don’t worry: more solar activity is forecast for the next couple of nights. Head north, find a dark spot, and keep your eyes (and camera) ready. Saskatchewan rarely gets treated this well—enjoy the magic while it lasts!
