Stop the presses! The Public Service Alliance of Canada has cracked the code to saving the planet, and—shocker—it involves staying in pajamas.
In a move of pure, selfless heroism, the union is suggesting that federal employees should work from home to “curb fuel demand.” It’s a truly moving narrative: brave bureaucrats sacrificing the grueling 15-minute crawl to Tunney’s Pasture to save us all from the tyranny of the gas pump. Forget carbon captures or fusion energy; the real path to Net Zero is clearly found in the spare bedroom of a semi-detached in Kanata.
It’s a bold strategy. If you don’t drive to the office, you don’t buy gas. If you don’t buy gas, the polar bears throw a parade. It’s definitely about the environment, and absolutely, positively has nothing to do with avoiding the nightmare that is Ottawa’s LRT or the sheer horror of a communal office microwave. We salute you, warriors of the home Wi-Fi. Your “green” efforts are truly… convenient.
