Happy April, Saskatchewan! Remember Tuesday when it was 22 degrees and we all collectively decided that winter was a fever dream? Well, Mother Nature heard us and decided to humble the province with a “Montana Low” that apparently took a wrong turn at the border.
Environment Canada says this system is taking a “sharp left” into Saskatchewan instead of becoming Ontario’s problem like a normal storm. It’s bringing rain, wind, and because we clearly haven’t suffered enough … up to 15cm of snow for Saskatoon and Regina through Saturday. Some northern spots might even see 50cm.
So, put the patio cushions back in the garage and dig those boots out of the “seasonal storage” bin you just packed. The good news? The 10-day forecast looks seasonal and quiet once this rolls through. We’ll get back to Spring eventually; we just have to survive a quick January-themed weekend first!
