If you’re a regular Lotto Max player like many of us, get ready for some big changes hitting Canada in 2026. According to a recent insauga article, starting with the April 14 draw, the game is getting a refresh to amp up the excitement.
First off, the jackpot cap jumps from $80 million to a whopping $90 million—a new record for Canadian lotteries. Plus, every draw will feature multiple $100,000 prizes (called MAXPLUS), scaling with the jackpot size—from 10 at $10M up to 90 at the cap.
Tickets go up to $6 from $5 (first increase since 2009), but you now get four lines per play instead of three, and numbers expand to 1-52. Jackpot odds stay similar per play, while overall winning chances improve to about 1 in 5.8.
It’s all about bigger dreams and more wins. What do you think—worth the extra buck?
